Are you looking for a cutting edge construction and infrastructure team with genuine international scope and expertise? This well established practice has a focus on high profile and high value projects in the real estate, social infrastructure, power and transport sectors. You will be involved on most of the major project financings and PPP projects in the region and, in addition to construction contracts, you will also have a hand at advising on concession agreements, supply and offtake agreements, operation and outsourcing contracts as well.

The team is looking to recruit a mid-level non-contentious construction/projects associate for their Dubai office. You will have around 4 - 5 years construction experience and knowledge of the FIDIC forms of contract (which are widely used in the region) and an understanding of project finance/PPP would be of particular interest. The successful candidate will join a busy team and enjoy a great deal of autonomy and responsibility, and should have experience in supervising juniors and be keen to be involved in business development.

Construction Associate (mix) 3+ pae

This Magic Circle firm's Middle East practice is currently a medium sized, growing practice in the region and it acts across the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. They have recently established a team based in Dubai to focus on international arbitration and dispute resolution in the Middle East which is rapidly gaining recognition in the market place and is ranked top tier. They now have a unique opportunity for a high achieving mid level Construction Associate to join their Dubai office as a member of both the International Arbitration group and the Construction group to undertake a mix of high profile, varied and complex contentious and non-contentious construction related matters.

You will regularly deal with the tactical and strategic issues that arise in complex commercial dispute as well as having responsibility for drafting and advising on contracts for the construction and management of major real estate and infrastructure projects. You will have at least 3 years experience at a top law firm and strong academics. Arabic language skills and experience working in the Middle East are preferred, but not essential.

Real Estate (Strata) 3+ pae

The Real Estate practice at this top tier practice has wide ranging expertise spanning development, strata titling and structuring, investment, funding, retail, hospitality, facilities management and landlord and tenant transactions. The strata team is recognised as the pre-eminent supplier of strata title and development advisory services in the region. The team is now looking to strengthen and compliment its strata capability by the addition of a mid to senior level associate to support the increasing demand in this fast-growing area of the law. It is anticipated that the majority of the work will initially be undertaken in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The firm is one of the largest in the region and you will be part of the leading Real Estate teams, hosting an excellent client base and prominent position in the industry.

The ideal candidate will have specialised in strata title and development work and have relevant experience in advising developers on large scale complex community, mixed-use and multiple owned developments within an established strata title regime. You will also ideally have relevant experience in drafting constitutional and contractual documentation for community, mixed-use and multiple owned developments including community management statements, building management statements, association constitutions and 'off plan' sale and purchase agreements and disclosure statements. Direct experience of Middle East law is preferred but not essential, and many Australian lawyers find their knowledge off domestic strata laws highly relevant as much of the legislation has been modelled after the Australian experience.

Banking / Finance / Corporate

Financial Services/Regulatory 4+ pae

The financial services regulatory team at this high profile international firm continues to be recognized as the number one choice for financial regulatory work in the region. The practice covers a wide range of activity within the banking industry and lawyers in the team work on a broad mix of financial services and regulatory matters, advising clients from all parts of the financial services sector including banks and investment banks, custodians, market infrastructure providers, central banks and regulators and market associations. Most of the work has an international dimension including some of the largest and most complex transactions as well as smaller deals (which provide greater responsibility). For this role you will need to have had previous experience of advising clients within the financial services regulatory sector and at least be familiar with the regulatory system of the United Arab Emirates and in particular the DIFC. Funds Associate 4+ pae

As a lawyer in their corporate funds team based in central Dubai, your role will cover all aspects of fund work including fund formation (Shari'ah compliant and conventional), investor/LP negotiation, advising on day-to-day operational requirements of funds and asset managers, assisting with disputes between fund entities and investors/limited partners, advising on the acquisition of portfolio companies and assets; restructuring acquired assets, winding up funds and carried interest/remuneration structuring. You should have a minimum of 4 years experience in private practice but the firm would consider those with less or more experience providing they meet the required competencies for the job.
